Good Samaritans Pull Over To Battle Blaze

Only 11 News has the video of good Samaritans, drivers, who pulled over to help put out a fire in the middle of a busy street.
KKTV photographer Dustin Cuzick, along with several passersby, was on scene before firefighters. He grabbed the fire extinguisher out of the 11 News live truck to help those battling the blaze.moncler outerwear
A handful of good Samaritans got out of their cars to start fighting the fire that broke out in a median along Powers near Hancock. They used shovels,canada goose parka jackets, and anything they could find in their car. Joe Ostrand stopped to help.
"Smoke was everywhere, flinging across the street, some guys looked like they were struggling out there," Ostrand said.Cheap ArcTeryx Alpha Sale
Peter Christian was one of the first to arrive.
"The concern was that it would jump across the road and if it jumps across the road there it's going to burn for a long way before it stops," Christian said.
We spoke to Cimmaron Hills Fire Chief Matt Love about what happened. As we showed him the scene unfolding,authentic north face jackets he said it was great to see folks around town be so vigilant, but added that no fire department ever wants to see anyone put their own safety in danger while trying to put out a fire.
"Even the smallest fire is a tremendous hazard. I think that's very important to reiterate calling 911 getting out there immediately and making sure you and your family are safe," chief Love said.
CSFD said they're not sure at this time what sparked the blaze.
Firefighters say it's always a good idea to keep things like fire extinguishers in your car in case you have a personal emergency, much like you would carry chains in the winter.
